Pembury Hospital PFI
Laing O’Rourke appointed Chapel Consultants as Catering Design Consultants to assist them in developing the Patient, Staff and Visitor foodservice facilities with in the new Pembury Hospital in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Pembury is the first Hospital to be built in England with all of its 500 patient rooms as single rooms with ensuite facilities.
Chapel Consultants Project Director Jackie Snaith and Ventilation Specialist Steve Cole of FV Consultants worked with LOR from inception through to construction on the various catering facilities. These including the Cook /freeze production kitchen which will distribute up to 1500 patients meals per day and a 120 seat capacity Hospital staff & visitors Restaurant with 24 hour vending area.
Chapel designed the facilities in partnership with Lead Consultants Anshen & Allen, Architects and WSP Mechanical & Electrical Services Consultants.
